UPDATE 5/27/2020

Dear GymQuarters Gymnastics Families,

We hope all our GQ families and students are safe and healthy. We have continued to employ our 50 staff members and they have been working hard to prepare the gym for reopening. We very much look forward to reconnecting with everyone and we are optimistic that we will all emerge from this ready to flip and cartwheel once again.

We would like to share with you our plans for the much anticipated re-opening of GymQuarters Gymnastics Center. Due to the impacts of COVID-19 we recognize that there are many new procedures required to conform to social distancing and the need to maintain high cleanliness standards.

GymQuarters Gymnastics Phase Two Plan:

Resume Classes on June 15th – 27th. These two weeks will used be for the classes missed in March. These two weeks are optional. If you choose not to participate you will still be issued make-ups for March.

We will be closed June 28th to July 5th for cleaning and prepare for the Grand Re-Opening.

Grand Re-Opening July 6th. No toddler classes, open gym, or birthday parties at this time.

Details of our preparation we are doing to reach our goals for reopening in a way that prioritized the health and safety of our students, staff, and parents.

BEFORE YOU COME TO CLASS

  • All children and parents should wash their hands thoroughly before leaving home.
  • We will continue to disinfect all equipment, heavily used mats, any objects that have been used. In addition, business equipment, and desk surfaces are being wiped down and sanitized.
  • Coaches are being directed to wash their hands thoroughly before each class.
  • Created separate entrances and exits.
  • No one will be allowed in the building if they are sick.
  • We will be taking temperatures for each person entering the building.
  • Persons entering the building will use a sanitizing station when entering and exiting.
  • Only one family member will be allowed to enter the building with each child. Please consider drop off/pick up if your school age child is capable.
  • We will require staff, gymnasts, and parents to keep social distancing as much as possible while in the building.
  • Our parents seating and viewing area is clearly marked and spaced.
  • Drinking fountain will only dispense water for water bottle. We suggest everyone bring one from home if you think it is necessary.
  • We have made sanitizer available throughout the gym.

DURING CLASS

  • We will be instituting additional gym cleaning between sessions.
  • Gymnasts, coaches, and staff will be organized during class to practice social distancing guidelines.
  • Our coaches will have limited contact with gymnasts.
  • Staff will remind students to be mindful not to touch your face during class.
  • We will be using this time to reinforce basics, conditioning, flexibility, and drills.
  • We will not be using individual hand-held conditioning or training props.
  • Our loose foam pits will be covered with mats.
  • Adjusted our curriculum with lesson plans that focus on teaching techniques, drills, and skills that can be safely done with limited to no spotting from our teachers.

AFTER CLASS

  • Children and parents are also advised to wash hands and feet thoroughly upon arriving back home.
  • Coaches are being directed to wash their hands thoroughly after each class.
  • During this time of increased concern, we have instituted an aggressive cleaning routine between classes.

We miss each and every one of our students and gym families. All of us at GymQuarters is looking forward to welcoming you back. We cannot wait to see you again!

5/22 UPDATE

Summer Day Camp Update

We are excited to announce we are opening for our Summer Day Camps program. We will start our Summer Day Camps on June 1st and run through August 21st. We will be closed the week of June 29th to July 3rd. We can’t wait to see everyone again!!

We are now taking sign-ups through our website at www.gymquarters.com.

While we are looking forward to a fun and safe summer, we do recognize the challenges that we still face as a community. We will not take our responsibility lightly and will adhere to the re-opening guidelines.

While some of these processes have always been in place, there are definitely some new ones that we hope to be just temporary.  We ask that everyone do their part to help us all have a FUN and SAFE summer!

  • Created separate entrances and exits.
  • Persons entering the building will use a sanitizing station when entering and exiting.
  • We will be doing temperature checks on campers and staff during sign- in.
  • We will be limiting the interactions during sign-in and sign-out.
  • We will require gymnasts and staff to keep social distancing as much as possible while in the building.
  • Only 1 family member allowed in the gym per child.
  • Our parent seating and viewing area are clearly marked and spaced.
  • Camp will be limited to Age 5 and above.
  • Camp size will be decreased.
  • Campers will be in groups of 8 or less with an assigned camp staffer.
  • Games and activities will be structured with little to no contact with other campers.
  • We will encourage increased outside activities during appropriate weather conditions.
  • Cleaning and sanitation practices will be increased. High touch surfaces will be disinfected regularly.
  • After careful consideration, we will not be requiring anyone to wear a mask. Campers will have the option to wear a mask provided by the parent or guardian.
  • We will be increasing the frequency of handwashing, and hand sanitizer will be available throughout the gym.
  • Each camper is required to bring a lunch.
  • During lunch, we will space campers out and encourage social distancing.
  • Drinking fountain will only dispense water for water bottles. Please bring one from home.
  • If your child is sick, please stay home.
  • If a child develops symptoms, they will be isolated, and they will have to be picked up. There will be a strict 72-hour sick policy. If your child has a fever, they cannot return until they are 72 hours fever free without the aid of medicine as recommended by the CDC.
  • All children and parents entering the gym should use the restroom and wash their hands thoroughly before leaving home.
  • Children and parents are also advised to wash hands and feet thoroughly upon arriving back home.

Please keep in mind that as guidelines/restrictions change, these plans we have set in place might as well.

We are excited to offer your campers a fun experience this summer. We appreciate your patience as we navigate through all of this.

4/1 UPDATE

We miss all of you so much!  We just wanted to send an update about our status regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.  Currently, our facility is closed due to the stay-at-home order for St. Charles County in place through April 30th.  While we hope to be able to resume in May, this is an ever-changing and unprecedented situation.  GymQuarters will remain closed until restrictions have been lifted and it is deemed safe enough to resume classes and activities.

During our closure, class tuition payments are on hold and will not be charged until we resume.

In the meantime, follow us on Facebook and Instagram for creative ideas to bring GymQuarters Gymnastics into your home. Also, be on the lookout for emails for our students from your teachers that will provide tips on staying fit with workouts at home!

During this pause period, our facility is closed. Please email us at customerservice@gymquarters.com if you need anything and please allow extra time for a response. Thank you all for your patience and support!

We sincerely hope all our families are staying well, and we can’t wait to see you again!

3/22 UPDATE

Thank you for your continued support during this difficult time.  As many of you know, we are currently closed following the recommendation of local leaders and health care experts. We are hoping to resume normal operations by Saturday, April 4, 2020.

We understand many of you have concerns about your class tuition currently. Please note, while we are closed you will not be billed for classes. This will happen automatically; you do not need to contact GymQuarters.

For the month of March: We will automatically be adding make-ups to each account for all missed classes and will handle scheduling once we resume operations.  We will be offering many make-up options for you. Besides the normal in-class make-ups available we will be offering exclusive alternatives events like: Back-Handspring Clinic, Inflatable Day, Tumbling Clinic, Open Gym as well as credit towards Parent Night Out, Moms Day Out and Summer Camp Days. Dates for these events will be available as soon as we resume operation. Registration for these events will be through your GQ account in Jackrabbit.

We will not be posting class tuition for April. We will guarantee your child’s class spot with no charge to you until you are notified via email of the date that we are able to resume classes. When we reopen, we will prorate charges for the classes remaining in that month. This credit will be applied to the next payment after reopening.

GymQuarters is still hoping to hold our annual Spring Show for Junior classes - Saturday, May 30th and for Developmental classes - Sunday, May 31st.  However, we will not be able to special order the themed leotards this year because of time constraints.

We want to thank you again for choosing GymQuarters Gymnastics. We look forward to seeing all those wonderful smiles here real soon. During this pause, we will not have set office hours and we encourage you to contact us via email at customerservice@gymquarters.com. Check your email and our social media for workouts and updates.

3/15 UPDATE

Following County and CDC guidelines and to help ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our students, families, and staff, and to do our part in trying to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 we will be closing GymQuarters beginning Monday, March 16.

The COVID-19 outbreak remains a rapidly evolving situation and available information is fluid. In the meantime, it is vitally important that the members of the general public continue to practice recommended preventative measures, such as social distancing and robust personal hygiene, as recommended by the CDC.
